FUMS Friday Night 6-Pack 🍻

Hello friends --I'm in sunny Orlando, Florida right now (in the airport - for hours on end, but whatever!) returning from the #HIMSS conference (Health Information Management Systems Society). I went as a guest of Savvy.Coop and OneView Healthcare. Initially I wasn't sure of my role at an IT conference - but I walked around and talked to all these smarticles and IT-types and app developers and investors, etc and I realized what I NEEDED to be there: I represent the patient voice. I spoke in terms of the health IT community needing to incorporate patients into everything from conception to product launch, explaining how employing the patient from the get-go can save them time and money. Find out what would help us and THEN go design it!!  Help us to help you!  Here's hoping someone was listening!  #Listen2PatientsOK - on to the coveted Friday Night 6-Pack:1.  Could this chemical help explain anxiety?? This article is super interesting. The only question I have is: if we could increase our glutamate levels, would that help our anxiety levels?? Very interesting . . . Anxiety Chemical2. This is ingenious. An innovation challenge for entrepreneurs who are affected by #MS - warriors, family, spouses, etc. And there's $25,000 on the line!! AND - I interviewed the founder of the company that developed this challenge, Dr. Karin Hehenberger, and that pod interview will go live next Friday - and I'll link to it in next week's Friday Night 6-Pack!!  Here's a link to the article about the challenge: Lyfebulb for MS3.  I have music playing ALL THE DAMNED TIME. And - I'm swaying, tapping or full-on dancing throughout the day OFTEN. How about YOU?? Here's an article that gives proof that I'm not crazy. Well, that's not true. This article shows proof that rhythm can help with movement and memory for MS'ers!  Check it out: Music Therapy for MS4.  This article shook me up. It lists 6 possible causes of MS to be aware of. Check out how many risk factors you can claim. It'll make you think!  MS Risk Factors5.  Here's a GREAT blog by Ed Tobias (awesome MS blogger) all about what he's learned about paying for MS meds. It's insightful. Read it here: What I've Learned About Paying for MS Medications6.  I posted a blog post on the FUMSnow.com/blog site today all about how I've found an AWESOME supplement that has really helped my fatigue and cog fog (and hair loss - hello Tecfidera - and Rosacea!). I heard it was good, but I didn't want to recommend it until I tried it. I'm in month 4 and I can confidently say it's really made a big difference for me. Read about my experiences with it here:  Bye Bye Fatigue and Cog FogSo - that's all folks. Hope you get some serious value from this week's 6-Pack (and it's frosty, cold, wet and delicious!) I LOVE to hear from you. PLEASE - take a minute, hit reply and let me know how you're doing. OR -  drop me an email at Kathy@FUMSnow.com or meet me over in the FUMS Facebook community and let's chat!  Thanks.Warmly -- Kathy#FUMS
