The FUMS 6 Pack. 🍺🍻🍺🍻

Hello friends --I hope you're having a good week. I am! I spent Valentines Day ❤️ celebrating Galentines Day 💪🏻 with my daughter in D.C. It was wonderful. I'm on my way up to Minnesota to go dog sledding!! WHAT?!? I know - that's odd, right? Well - it all started when my friend asked me if I had a bucket list - and what was on it. Dog sledding was the first thing to come to mind. Thanks to that friend - and a little nudge - I'm on my way to check this one off the list. Do YOU have a bucket list??? If not - start one. Allow yourself the gift of dreaming. Then share it with a friend who will kick your ass in to gear and start checking some things off that list!!OK - let's get into it:1. In further support of my suspicious that our gut has SO much to do with MS (and all other ailments) - researchers recently found that the natural compound berberine helps ease disease severity in mice. Interesting stuff. I'm putting down my donut right now to read this article: MS: Could berberine ease the severity of symptoms?2. Well - color me interested: Treatment with CNM-Au8, an experimental oral liquid therapy, led to statistically significant improvements in the health of connections between brain regions for people with stable RRMS. CNM-Au8 preserves white matter in RRMS patients’ brains: Phase 2 trial3. I was recently dx'ed with osteoporosis. This after a fall where I fractured my pelvis. That was fun. The Rheumotologist suggested it might be due to the steroid usage in relapse "therapy." Thanks MS. You are indeed the gift that keeps on giving. Take your Vit D and Calcium - and get outside and soak up that sunshine/Vit D! Dietitian advice assists MS patients to improve calcium intake: Trial4. Datos Health, a remote care automation company, is collaborating with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, in Illinois, on a study that will gauge the effectiveness of remote therapy monitoring in patients with various conditions and disorders, including MS. New remote monitoring system to be tested in MS patients in rehab5. The first orally disintegrating tablet approved to treat MS patients in the US is approved for the same indications — children and adults, ages 10 and older - with clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting MS, and active secondary progressive MS. It's analternative to Gilenya. Tascenso ODT launches in US 6. OK - back to the microbiome. This is super interesting - and exciting - and came out of the University of Virginia (I live in Virginia so - you know - rooting for the home team): Multiple Sclerosis Discovery Could End Disease’s Chronic InflammationThat's all folks. Hope you found something of interest or that gives you hope. Cheers -- Kathy#FUMS
