July 12 FUMS Friday Night 6-Pack

FUMS Friday Night 6-Pack 🍺

Hello friends --How was YOUR 4th of July!!  Mine was exquisite! I was on vacation - on the shores of Lake Eshquaguma in northern Minnesota - where I sat in a lounge chair with a glass of wine and watched as fireworks were exploding all around the lake on a beautiful, cool, clear evening in the northland. It was perfect. But now - I'm baaaaaaaaaack!!! And I have a 6-pack to deliver to you today!  It's filled with icy cold, frosty, wet and delicious topics of interest in the world of MS this week! Let's get to it.1.  Mari L. McCarthy has MS - and she discovered how therapeutic journaling could help her - with everything from anxiety to MS! She was able to get off all of her MS meds and is doing GREAT today. Interested in hearing more? I interviewed her for episode 42 of the FUMS Podcast Show. Here you go: Mari McCarthy2.  Here's an interesting one - researchers in the UK are pursuing a breath test for MS!!  WHAT?! I know. Read more here: Blow Here (I'm such a smart ass)3.  This article explains the difference between white and grey matter - and what changes in grey matter could mean:  Does It Matter?? (see what I did there!)4.  I am currently seeing a chiropractor (a "chiro cracker as my daughter used to say when she was little) for my frozen shoulder. It never occurred to me to see one for my #MS. Do YOU see a chiropractor for your MS??  Read about it here:  Can a Chiro Treat MS?5.  Great article by Ardra Shephard of the Tripping on Air MS blog.  Here she talks about what she learned in her first year with MS: Lessons Learned6.  Remyelination is the "Holy Grail" of MS research. Now it seems they may have found it - at least in studies on mice - with a cannabidiol-based oral treatment. Um, yes please.  Read about it right here: Smilin' and RemyelinThat's all folks. Hope you've found this 6-pack tasty.  If there's anything I can help you with, please drop me an email and let me know at [email protected] or meet me over in the FUMS Facebook community and let's chat!  Thanks.Cheers -- Kathy#FUMS
