The FUMS 6-Pack Newletter 🍻🍻🍻

Hello friends --Welcome to the front door of Hell. 🥵 Damn this heat is ridiculous. The ONLY thing making it even marginally bearable for me - is my Thermapparel UnderCool cooling vest. If you've been around the FUMS universe for any time at all, you've heard me proselytize about this phenomenal vest. I've tried them all over the years and this one is truly exceptional - and comfortable - and not at all noticeable - and it keeps me cool for up to 3 hours. When I find something that can actually impact this community - I'll shout it to the rooftops. So - this is me - shouting it to the rooftops! Here's where to go to get YOURS: Thermapparel Undercool Vest. And yes - this is an ad. I am an affiliate of this company. That just means I believe in it and I partnered with the company to help spread the word. You don't pay a penny more and I'll get a small commission if you go through my link. I wouldn't shout something from the rooftops that I didn't truly believe in and use myself. I know you'll love it as much as I do. And since we are continuing to heat up - you may want to get a couple!! 😉Ok, ok - enough of the pitch - bitch - let's hear what's going on in the world of MS this week.1. 1. This will come as little surprise to you folks with PPMS: German study highlights impact of slowly progressive disease on everyday life. Primary progressive MS can greatly reduce life quality, ability to work2. Energy is a factor - in so many ways - in MS. New study sheds light on role of inflammation in MS damage Boosting energy production in nerve fibers may help treat MS3. Familial risk and heredity was one of the first things I asked when I was diagnosed. I wanted to know if my children's chances were elevated. I was told that they were not. Now this study shows that the familial risk is highest amongst siblings and it's similar between RRMS and PPMS. Genetic risk found similar between RRMS, PPMS4. All of this talk about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and how it is going to take over and zombies and apocalypse and such. Here some good AI news: A new AI algorithm could help identify people at risk of developing MS. AI model is able to predict MS risk years before disease onset5. You know what happens when you make assumptions. Overturning Assumptions: Multiple Sclerosis More Prevalent in Black Americans Than Previously Thought6. People who started taking medication earlier after the first signs of MS had a lower risk of long-term disability. So - did you start on a DMT quickly?? MS Treatment Within 6 Months of First Symptoms May Lower Disability RiskThat's all folks. Hope you learned something! If there is ANYTHING that I can help you with - please don't hesitate. Just hit reply to this email - and let me know how I can help. Cheers-- Kathy#FUMS
