FUMS 6-Pack 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Hello friends --Hello there!! How's things?? I am happy to report that I completed the Shamrock 8K race in Virginia Beach last weekend. Mostly I walked - which was my plan for the entire 8K (5 miles). However - the people I was with had other plans and threw out little challenges along the way. I'm not good at withstanding peer pressure. So I did it. And boy - do I wish I hadn't. That REALLY pissed my MS off. Extreme fatigue, cog fog and P-A-I-N. The pain is mostly in my back where I have been working to try to strengthen and stretch (with Pilates) from some scoliosis and years of abuse. Is that MS? Maybe. It's at least a likely contributor. So - I've seen a PT, a chiropractor, a Pilates instructor, taken many Epsom Salt baths, and found the inside of several bottles of high dose NSAIDS and perhaps a pain pill or two. And how are YOU doing??? I hope better than me!! Shall we take a look at what's up in the world of MS this week?? Okey dokey. Here you go:1. Did you hear that incredible episode on the FUMS Podcast Show of attorney Marty Shenkman talking all things estate planning for MS'ers??? If not - go back and listen to episode 101! And if you did - the second half of that interview went live this week!! Here's a link: GYST (Get Your Shit Together): 😉 2. March is MS Awareness Month - it's also National Reading Month! How about combing the two?? Here's a great MS book written by MS Warrior Debbie Petrina - Managing MS 3. Treatment with cannabis-based medications may ease muscle spasms, decrease pain, and aid in sleep for people with multiple sclerosis (MS), but more research is needed to evaluate the potential benefits of cannabis use. Read all about it - here: Scientists Review State of Cannabis Research in MS4. I have believed that our answers could be found in stem cell research for a very long time. It seems science is catching up to me!!! Stem Cell Transplant Gaining Ground As MS Therapy Option5. P-U 💩 The one who smelt it, dealt it! A measure of the nose’s sensitivity to smell could be used to detect whether treatments for relapsing MS are working or not, a new study indicates. Smell Test Might Help Predict if MS Treatments Are Working6. Could you please pass me the Porterhouse Steak - with butter and heavy cream? What the hell, throw on some bacon too!! Ketogenic Diet May Reduce Disability and Improve Quality of Life in People With Multiple SclerosisThat's all folks. Hope you learned something here today!
