Hello friends --Happy MS Awareness Month!!  I'll be saying this all month!!  I know you're aware. ME TOO!  Share the wealth. Let others know about this stupid disease. It helps with misconceptions - and donations toward research!!  Some folks are posting a factoid about MS on their social media throughout the month. I've offered to answer any questions anyone might have about MS - and I'll be sharing my diagnosis story - and subsequent stories of life with MS on my personal Facebook page.  Think about how YOU could be a part of the movement too!! And please, hit reply and let me know what you're doing! Let's get to it, shall we??1. To mark the start of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month, Medical Myths focused on the myths that surround this commonly misunderstood condition.  9 Myths About MS2.  Plant essences can be used in aromatherapy, but evidence of benefits for people with MS is lacking. *I used essential oils for relaxation (lavender) and LOVE it - how about YOU??  Can Essential Oils Help Manage MS?3.  Music therapy and #MS. It makes sense to me. Sweet story of how actor Ben Platt got involved:  MS in Harmony - first ever of it's kind music therapy for people with MS. 4.  MS progression can vary widely between individuals, with some patients never acquiring significant disabilities — a condition often called benign MS — and others losing their ability to perform everyday living activities, which is referred to as aggressive MS. Knowing how to predict a person's MS course is critical to quality care, as different therapeutic strategies will best benefit those most likely to do worse versus those most likely to do well.
