FUMS 6-Pack 🍻🍗🍻🍗🍻

Hello friends --It's Thanksgiving week?? WHAT?!?  That means eating and drinking too much, fighting with your loved ones and laying on the sofa.  OR - you could make a few tweaks to your normal holiday plans and change those things this year.  I did the most fun podcast episode this week that shares ways to deal with the holidays when you have MS - with a bunch of people in the MS advocacy world that I adore.  It's the first link in the 6-pack - so listen, learn and enjoy!  1.  It's the greatest #MS podcast episode of all time (in my humble opinion).  It's the MS POD SQUAD talking (and drinking) about how to deal with the holidays if you have MS (also good for all humans to hear)!!  Featuring Ardra Shephard of @ms_trippingonair, Alene Brennan of @lesspharmmoretable, Kathy Chester of MS Disrupted, and Dan & Jennifer Digmann of A Couple Takes on MS (@digmand and @jmdiggman)   ALSO featuring each of the squad's favorite holiday treats - and a link to the RECIPES (in the show notes)!!! And holiday gift guides (also in the show notes). We had so much fun.  Have a listen - and if you haven't do so already, be sure to subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss an episode!!  National Lampoon’s Chronically Ill Christmas with The MS Pod Squad2.  Most adults with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) who received Immunic Therapeutics‘ investigational therapy vidofludimus calcium have had no confirmed disability progression after two years of treatment. That’s according to new interim data from the open-label extension portion of the EMPhASIS trial, which has been running for nearly 3.5 years.  2 Years of Vidofludimus Calcium Thwarts Disability Progression: Data3.  Diabetes medication use linked to higher MS risk especially in older women.  Among people with type 2 diabetes, the use of anti-hyperglycemic medications is associated with a reduced risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) for younger individuals, but an increased risk for older patients, particularly women.  Effect of Diabetes Medicines on MS Risk Varies by Age, Sex in US Study4.  On August 12, 2022, the Inflation Reduction Act was passed by the United States House, helping to reduce the cost of health insurance and prescription drugs for all patients.  How the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 Represents a Win for Advocacy, Patients With MS: Bari Talente, JD
