FUMS 6-Pack 🍻🍻🍻

Hello friends --Ok - what in the actual f-bomb is going on with this weather??? 🎢 We've seen 80+ degrees this Spring - and right now - I'm wrapped up in a blanket in front of my fireplace. 🔥 And you know how good drastic weather changes is for MS. OUCH! Hope you're doing well. I have 4 - count 'em - 4 MRI's this week. UGH. Wish me luck. No seriously - please hit "reply" and wish me luck!! I have 1 kid moving back in next week (YAY) and another coming back next month. I'm so excited to have some noise in this house again!! Check with me mid-summer. I'll likely be singing a different tune!! 🎶OK - what's happening in the world of MS??? Here you go:1. I FAILED to send out a 6-pack last week. So sorry about that. As we all know - 💩 happens. As such - I have TWO FUMS podcasts for you: the first is with world-renowned doctor and MS warrior Dr. Terry Wahls - talking about a new study looking at the differences between her diet and Dr. Swank's diet. Super interesting. Here you go: Dr. Terry Wahls Chats with Kathy 2. Annnnnd - Tammy and Terry of Twins Coast 2 Coast stopped by to share their stories and advocacy. They are identical twins - both with MS!! In fact, they are "mirror twins" - know what that means? I didn't either. Listen and learn, my friends: Twin Win3. Where are my Gilenya peeps?? Here's some good news for you: Long-term Gilenya Use Safe and Effective in a Czech Study4. OK - next up - where are my PROGRESSIVES?? Here's a little sompin' sompin' for you: Progressive MS Trial Finds Repeat Bone Marrow Infusion Safe, Feasible5. From one of my favorite MS writers, Devin Garlit - an uncomfortable and all-to-often ignored subject: Multiple Sclerosis and the Right to Die6. Over the years of my MS patient advocacy, I've heard countless stories of not being able to get a diagnosis and how damaging that "life of limbo" can be. Here's some hope: A newly identified sign called a central vein sign could help doctors to determine whether white spots on a patient’s MRI scans are the result of multiple sclerosis or a different disorder. A Clearer Picture of Multiple SclerosisThat's all folks. I hope you're doing well. I haven't heard from a lot of you in quite some time (I sound like a mom!!). I'd really love to hear from you - how you're doing, if there's anything I can do to help you, any ideas you might have for topics or guests for the podcast, and if this newsletter and the podcast are serving you - or not!! I'm reassessing a lot of things in my life right now and I'd love to hear from the actual consumers of my content - how it is received and if there is anything that I can do to improve upon them. Thanks in advance.Cheers -- Kathy#FUMS
