FUMS 6-Pack Delivery 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Hello friends --How's things??  I am STILL fighting to get answers between my neuro's office, my insurance company and the speciality pharmacy on switching medication (from Tecfidera to Vumerity) because the insurance company moved Tec to tier 4 - meaning - I'd have to pay for it IN FULL.  WTF?!?!  MS is truly an exercise in self-control.  I hope you're having a much less angsty time.  I'm grateful wine exists!  So - where are the top topics in MS this week you ask.  Ummmm - here you go:1.   Sex is important. It benefits physical and mental health. But #MS can be such an f'ing buzz kill. Having a sex therapist on your medical team might be a really good idea. Whether you have a partner or are interested in dating or self-exploration, a sex therapist can help you navigate how MS affects your sexuality.  Get Yourself a Sex Therapist2.  Are you interested in helping advance MS research AND getting *PAID* to do it??  Here you go: PAID MS Clinical Trial3.  This pisses me off: African Americans with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) are more likely than white patients — despite comparable disease durations and education levels — to be unemployed or earning less than $15,000 a year, and to have more severe disability, an analysis found. Disease Severity and Job Loss Higher in Black MS Patients4.  Do you wish there was a tool to predict prognosis for RRMS patients? You just may be in luck:  "RoAD” Score Predicts Prognosis in Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis5.  Join the amazing team at eSupport Health on Wednesday April 28th from 5-6pm ET for a free virtual workshop entitled "Clinical Trial Evidence for Benefits of Group-Based Online Interventions for People with MS." The workshop will be led by Dr. Vicky Leavitt, Ph.D., a neuropsychologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, specializing in the psychological and cognitive symptoms of MS. Dr. Leavitt’s brief lecture will be followed by a casual Q&A session. This event is free and open to any interested members of the MS Community. Bring a friend or loved one! You can register for the free workshop here: https://esupporthealth.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJIoc-6hqTIiHNPOA7h21jUKaXjsN5S4ERL06.  Seizures and MS?  Yes - and no. So yes - it CAN be due to MS but there are a number or other conditions that could be causing your seizures. Read more here: Seizures and MSThat's all folks.  Hope you get a TON of value each week in this little newsletter o'mine!!ONE MORE THING:   The FUMS Podcast Show just passed the 100,000 downloads mark last week.  That is HUGE!!  I really can't believe my little podcast has blown up like it has.  Thanks for all the support.  If you haven't yet, please subscribe so you don't miss a single episode.  ***BIG news is coming about this little podcast o'mine.  Stay tuned . . .Cheers -- Kathy#FUMS
