FUMS Friday Night 6-Pack 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Hello friends --This has been my week:Monday - I received notice that someone from the Russian Federation had logged into one of my online accounts. That night, we had a hurricane and a tornado that spun off of the hurricane that touched down 5 miles from the house. We were awakened at 3:00 am. No sleep.Tuesday - electricity and internet are out and we're cleaning up the yard all day due to the storms. Did I mention the electricity was out? Yeah - that meant no air conditioning that night. So - no sleep.Wednesday - the electricity came back on at 3:00 am and woke me up again. Then - no eating all day due to an impending colonoscopy. Had to record a podcast episode that was cancelled earlier in the week due to the storms and lack of internet. Also - after having fixed (or so I thought) the Russian hacker bullshit on Monday, they logged into another account on Wednesday. No sleep (not 1 minute) because of the impending colonoscopy and, well, you know. Thursday - yay - colonoscopy day!!  YIPPEE. Actually, it's the prep that sucks. The actual procedure is done under a very fun anesthesia so - whatever. Came home to sleep but my exhausted body said NO. Friday - TODAY - back-to-back meetings to try to catch up from all the upheaval throughout the week. Published a podcast, had an FUMS Positivity Support Group Zoom call, and wrote this email. By the time you're reading this, I should be 2-3 glasses in on forgetting this week. Cheers!Alright then, let's get to it:1.  Want to hear about the single best thing I've done to help myself - both mentally and physically? Better than any medication? Listen here to this short (13 minutes) solo podcast episode to learn all about it: Let's Marie Kondo The Toxic People From Your Life2.  Rebif will be combined with Remdesivir in ongoing clinical trials as a possible COVID-19 treatment.  MS Drug Trial for COVID3.  A VERY high percentage of MS'ers deal with urinary issues, hence urinary issues should be assessed in MS cases. No shit Sherlock. Wonder how much that cost to learn. Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Should Be Assessed In MS Cases4.  Donepezil — an approved treatment for Alzheimer’s disease — eased cognitive impairment, depression, and improved other quality-of-life measures in MS patients with mild to moderate disability, according to results of a single-site clinical trial. Check it out: Crossover Drug5.  Sometimes I just can't even believe what is studied. Once again, in the "no shit Sherlock" department, I give you: Coffee Can Help Ease Multiple Sclerosis-Related Fatigue, New Study Finds6.  Seriously - the hits just keep coming: MS Patients Show Greater Risk of Infections Before and After Diagnosis, Study Finds  That is seriously the title. Wow. I need a drink.  I'm obviously in a particularly snarky (read: exhausted) mood today. So - as referenced earlier, Happy Hour starts right fucking now!!  Hit reply and let me know how your week went AND please - if you're enjoying a Happy Hour of your own - head over to the FUMS Facebook page and post what you're enjoying to help get you into the spirit of the weekend!!  Warmly -- Kathy#FUMS
