FUMS 6-Pack 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Hello friends --How's YOU??  I'm happy that we've had some pretty decent temps in southern Virginia so far this summer.  Not too shabby.  I can handle this.  Now you know what's going to happen right?  It's going to get HOT.  We'll see . . .I wanted to thank those of you that hit reply last week and just "checked in."  I just LOVE that.  Feel free to do that every single week.  Writing articles and newsletters and recording podcasts can be lonely. It can feel like I'm screaming into a vacuum.  I love hearing from you.  😉Ok - let's do this -- 1.  I am ever so excited to share that I have been nominated for 2 Social Health Awards: Advocacy Trailblazer & Community Cultivator.  I'd really appreciate it if you would kindly take a minute (actually it will take MUCH less than a minute) and endorse me for these awards if you feel like I'm deserving.  Here's where to go: Kathy's Social Health Awards..Thanks in advance. **The voting closes on Friday so please don't delay!!2.  I'm super proud of this week's FUMS Podcast episode.  I interviewed Jon Strum of the Real Talk MS podcast.  If you don't listen to it - you should.  It's an amazing show that puts medical and scientific terms into real people terms!  He makes MS information accessible.  If you don't know his story - that he was an incredible caregiver to his wife with MS and now - continues his support of our entire community - you should listen to hear it and learn about this amazing human.  Here's the link:  Jon Strum3.  OK - one more FUMS Podcast - because I failed to put it in the last newsletter! Did you know that researchers identified a CAUSE FOR MS???  Amazing, exciting news.  I interviewed the lead researcher - Kjetil Bjornevik - about how EBV (Epstein Barr Virus) has been identified as an actual cause of MS.  With a cause can come a cure, right??  Hear all about it - here:  EBV is a "C" Word4.  Tyler Campbell’s life radically changed when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) during his junior year of college.  He was one of the first athletes to play Division I college football with the condition. Read his article about his experiences here:  Tyler Campbell - Football and Beyond5.  Where are my Kesimpta peeps??  Good news for YOU!  No Disease Activity After 4 Years for Nearly 80% of Patients on Kesimpta6.  What do you do doing a flare?  Here's some suggestions:  6 Things to Do During a Flare-UpThat's all folks.  Hope you learned something from this little newsletter o'mine!  Drop me an email and let me know at [email protected] or meet me over in the FUMS Facebook community and let's chat!  Thanks.Warmly -- Kathy#FUMS

Sometimes it helps the stress, just to say "F-U-M-S"
