FUMS Friday Night 6-Pack 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Hello friends --How's everything going?? Things here are BUSY!!  I've started working on the MS Holiday Gift Guide  (link to last year's) which I publish on Black Friday, I've just booked 3 podcast interviews  - so look for those coming out SOON, and I'm working diligently on Patients Getting Paid. That's professionally. Personally it appears that here in the U.S. we're ramping up for a third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, my insurance switches on November 1st and they can't tell me if I'll receive patient assistance for my Tecfidera as I always have, and the election is on Tuesday. SO - I may have been taste-testing a few additional wines lately!  Whatever helps, right? Ohhhh - speaking of which (almost forgot - COG FOG), I have an appointment TODAY to get my medical marijuana card!!!!  Those of you already imbibing - please hit reply to this email and let me know what strains work best for you - especially for anxiety, pain and sleep issues. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.OK - enough. Let's get to the 6-pack:1.  Do you have silver dental fillings? Ever been told they could be causing you health issues - like inflammation?  The "theory" was poo-pooed for a long time. Now - the FDA is reversing course and recommending against amalgam fillings!! Here's that article: FDA, Fillings & MS - Oh My!  I interviewed the Dr. Carl McMillan, the head of  The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), about this subject and he had A LOT to say.  Here's that podcast interview: Are Your Silver Dental Fillings Poisoning You?2.  Considering a tattoo? Read this first:  Could Too Many Tattoos Cause MS Trouble??3.  Are you JCV+?? Do you even know what that means? I had a cursory understanding - but this article lays it all out. Understanding JCV+ and the Risks for People with MS4.  FUMS'ers have AdaptABILITY!!!  How My ‘Magic Desk’ Simplifies Life With MS5.  Medicare provides coverage for medications, physical and occupational therapy, hospital stays, doctors’ visits, surgeries you might need, and medical equipment. Your costs and coverage will depend on the type of Medicare plan you’re enrolled in and what services are medically necessary for your situation. Does Medicare Cover Multiple Sclerosis Treatment?6.  The majority of people with #MS are Vitamin D deficient and are taking high doses of it. Here's even more reason to continue doing it!! How much do YOU take????  Very High Dosages of Vitamin D May Delay Frailty in Old AgeThat's all folks. Hope you learned something here today. OOPS - almost forgot to mention: I just set up a "Work With Me" page over on the FUMS website. If you have ideas for collaborations - want to be on the FUMS Podcast - or are interested in some 1:1 coaching with me - about Life with MS Strategies - or finding flexible, remote work that accommodates your health (#chronicprenuer) - fill out the form at the bottom of the sheet and let's chat!!  Here's where to go: Work With Kathy Have a great week!  And come on over and meet me over in the FUMS Facebook community and let's chat!  Thanks.Warmly -- Kathy#FUMS
