Hello friends --Should I Stay or Should I Go Now . . . That song has been playing in my head for about a month and a half. My sweet mother-in-law died in early December and on the long drive (8 hours) there and back, I had a lot of time to myself to think.  I thought about when I started FUMS 9 years ago and all that has changed since. I've written a ton of blog posts detailing my MS experiences, I've produced over 50 podcast episodes interviewing amazing neurologists, nutritionists, marijuana activists, PTs, OTs and a lot of badass MS'ers. I've written an ebook and started multiple FUMS social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) where I post information and encouragement daily. I started the FUMS Friday Night 6-Pack as a weekly wrap up of the top 6 topics in MS during that week. I started a monthly online positivity support group. I've coached a number of FUMS'ers 1:1. I've answered innumerable questions and emails and I've shared my own journey with MS - bumps, bruises and all. It has kept me beyond busy - and I've loved every minute of it - especially hearing from so many of you just how much FUMS (the attitude and the various resources) has helped YOU.I also got to thinking of all the time, energy and money that I've poured into FUMS and I came to a realization: I need help. If you've been around here for much time at all you know my oldest daughter went to college this year. I have another one heading there in a year and a half. The monthly expenditure for FUMS is substantial, and I've paid it all for 9 years. Well - it's come out of our family budget for 9 years. I just can't justify that anymore. It's for all of these reasons that I put together a Patreon campaign to ask for help from my community to continue FUMS. Monthly contributions (in lieu of a cup of coffee or 2 for the month??) would mean that what I'm doing is actually valuable and making a difference - and would be missed if I were to shut it down.
